Notable speakers included Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, President KYA Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani, former minister AJK Fawzia Yaqoob, Prof. Shabana Fayaz and anchorperson Harmeet Singh. The speakers shed light on the crimes of Israeli occupation in Gaza and paid homage to the brave martyrs of Palestine as well as Kashmir.

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam condemned the Israeli aggression in the strongest words and described how the Palestinians are absolutely within their rights to defend their people and land by every means possible. The Israeli occupation has gradually encroached nearly all the Palestinian land and it must be held accountable for its atrocities.

Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani discussed the similar struggles of Kashmir and Palestine and said that the Kashmiris are with their Palestinian brethren in this time of great turmoil. Burhan Wani and Saleh al Aruri are the offshoots of the same stem which is the Muslim Ummah.

Anchorperson Harmeet Singh enlightened the audience with the shocking statistics of Israeli atrocities in Gaza, mentioning that at least 24000 palestinians including 17000 innocent children and over 110 journalists have been martyred so far by the forces. It is the responsibility of every human being to speak up against this genocide.

Fawzia Yaqoob said that the occupation of Kashmir and Palestine requires immediate solution if the peace of the world is to be maintained. The struggle for freedom shall continue in these lands until the illegal occupier is forced to withdraw. She said that the martyrs of these nations truly deserve our tributes and support.

Prof. Shabana Fayaz pointed out the similar colonial methods adopted by the Israeli and Modi governments and reflected on the ways in which the two have illegally pervaded lands with blatant force.

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session with the students and a show of solidarity for the courageous nations of Palestine and Kashmir.
