Joint Press Conference by Kashmir Youth Alliance and Muslim Youth League

Islamabad, 3rd February 2025: Leaders of the Kashmir Youth Alliance and Muslim Youth League held a joint press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, where they emphasized that the youth of Pakistan will never forget and will not let others forget the sacrifices of their Kashmiri brothers. The Kashmir freedom movement was active yesterday and continues today. The founder of Pakistan referred to Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan, and we will ensure that the jugular vein is freed at all costs. These thoughts were expressed by Dr. Mujahid Gilani, President of Kashmir Youth Alliance, Engineer Haris Dar, President of Muslim Youth League, Naveed Ahmed, Secretary Information of Kashmir Youth Alliance, Dr. Abdullah Khalil, Coordinator of Kashmir Youth Alliance, and Abdul Quddus, President of Muslim Youth League Islamabad, during a press conference at the National Press Club.

Dr. Mujahid Gilani, President of Kashmir Youth Alliance and the nephew of Hurriyat leader Asiya Andrabi, revealed in the press conference that since 2019, more than 25,000 Kashmiris have been illegally detained by the occupying Indian forces. He also shared his personal struggle, mentioning that his maternal uncle, Dr. Qasim Factoo, has been imprisoned for 31 years but has never compromised on principles. Similarly, his aunt Asiya Andrabi has been imprisoned in India since 2017. The President of Kashmir Youth Alliance expressed his commitment to the ongoing freedom movement of Kashmir, stating that no force from India can deter them from their path.

Haris Dar, President of Muslim Youth League, conveyed a message to the youth of occupied Kashmir, assuring them that Pakistan’s youth will always stand with them and are ready to make every sacrifice. He announced that on February 4, district-level solidarity bike rallies will be held, and All-Party Youth Conferences will be organized in all four provincial capitals to unite the youth. Kashmir Youth Alliance announced that on February 5, the youth of Pakistan will come together to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers. They emphasized that the era of slavery is over, and India cannot impose its oppression on the Kashmiri people for long. It was also declared that they will run an awareness campaign across the country regarding the Kashmir Freedom Movement to motivate the youth to actively participate in this struggle.

At the end of the press conference, the leaders reaffirmed their commitment that the youth of Pakistan will stand with the Kashmiri people and continue their struggle until Kashmir is liberated.
