An academic session titled “Exploring Dynamics of Kashmir Conflict” was held at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad on 9th June, 2023 by the Department of International Relations. President KYA Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani was invited as the keynote speaker at the session. The session was chaired by Dr. Mehmood, the Head of Department of IR and chiefly organized by faculty member Ms. Madiha Shakeel.
The session aimed at furnishing knowledge to the students as well as busting the myths commonly promulgated as truths about the situation by the Indian authors and lackeys. Dr. Mujahid Gilani brought forth the genesis of the Kashmir issue and disrupted the misleading Indian narrative about the role of Pakistan in targeting people of Kashmir. He also highlighted the desires and wishes of the people of AJK regarding its occupied counterpart. A solution to the Kashmir conflict was also discussed in the prism of the current geo-economic and geopolitical situation.
With the session being an interactive one, students asked various questions and displayed a scholarly and learned approach to the contemporary and historical aspects of the Kashmir conflict. The event ended with a show of support for the people of the occupied territory and strengthened resolve for continued struggle for the cause.
President KYA acknowledged the role of students and admired the organizing committee including Ms. Noor e Seher, Ms. Khansa Shah, Mr. Syed Inaam and others for their commendable effort.
