Symbol of Resistance; National Conference held at Kashmir House Islamabad

Islamabad (23 Feb 2022) : Kashmir Youth Alliance (KYA) in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell (JKLC), Govt of Azad Jammu & Kashmir organized Symbol of Resistance National Conference at Kashmir House Islamabad, on Kashmiri Women’s Resistance Day.

Federal Minister of Climate Change Ms Zartaj Gul Wazir, Director General JKLC Arshad Mehmood, President KYA Dr Syed Mujahid Gilani, Kashmiri Activist Shaista Safi, Anchors Amir Abbas, Awais Mangalwala, Maleeha Hashmi, Bakhtawar Mehmood, Youth Activists Chairman Karwan E Pakistan Eizam Chaudhary, Secretary General Muslim Student Organization Sardar Mazhar, President Kashmir Youth Alliance Azad Jammu & Kashmir Usman Subhani Advocate, Politicians and Educationists Ex MNA Ayesha Syed, Samia Dogar, Advisor to CM Balochistan Amna Kalhloon, Son of Syeda Asiya Andrabi Ahmed Bin Qasim, Secretary General KYA Razi Tahir and youth activists from Islamabad and Kashmir were attended National Conference.

While speaking at the occasion Zartaj Gul paid rich tribute to the Kashmiri resistance figures such as Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Naheeda Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sufi and several others. She said Pakistan would continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for right to self-determination at all international forums. The government under vibrant leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was taking up Kashmir issue in amicable way. “There would “never be a compromise” on the Kashmir issue”. She added.

During Panel Discussion Politicians, Educationist, Youth Leaders and Journalists stressed on how media needs to educate the youth about Kashmir cause. All Panelists highlighted the responsibilities of parliamentarians in projecting the Kashmir issue at all levels.

Panelists expressed their views on the role of women in the freedom movement of Kashmir. They mentioned that Kashmiri women have made immense sacrifices and paid a heavy price in the decades-old Kashmir conflict and they continue to play a significant role in defying India’s aggression.

A tableau was performed by students of Dar e Arqam School Chak Shehzad on the song by Hadia Hashmi. Executive Members of KYA Anam Imtiaz, Palwasha Saeed, Naveed Ahmed and Amir Raza Advocate were moderated the conference. At the end of the conference, President Kashmir Youth Alliance Dr Syed Mujahid Gilani distributed calendars of Dukhtaran e Millat (DeM) among the guests.
