A reference in memoriam of Syed Ali Shah Geelani was organized in the University of AJK on the occasion of his second death anniversary. Notable speakers included President KYA Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani, senior analyst Raja Faisal, journalist Arif Bahar, VC University Dr. Kaleem Abbasi, Dean IR Dr. Mahmood and Ghulam Muhammad Safi .
Speakers paid homage to Father of the Kashmiri nation by reflecting on his relentless struggle for the liberation of Kashmir from Indian occupation. The celebrated leader kindled a passion for freedom among his people and encouraged them to keep fighting for their right until it is achieved. The nation responded to his call and is continuing to do so with endless sacrifices.
Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani said that India’s atrocious crimes in the valley need to be called out by the international community and the Human Rights courts since it is a violation of the UN resolution as well. The participant leaders of G20 Summit should take India to task for its blatant fascism in the valley.
He said that the entire nation of Azad Kashmir is united against the occupier to provide every form of support for its brethren in the IIOJK.
It was reiterated that the Kashmiri people shall not back down until India steps out of their land.
