A seminar was held at University of AJK in Muzafarabad on the International Human Rights Day by the Department of International Relations.The theme of the event was political prisoners of Indian Occupied Kashmir. The event was joined by Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Shamim Shawl, Farzana Yaqoob and Salman Javed. President Kashmir Youth Alliance Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani made the keynote speech.
In his speech Dr. Gilani deciphered the narrative and perception by exemplifying the political prisoners of Kashmir such as Dr Qasim Factoo, Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Naheeda Nasreen, Yasin Malick, Khurram Pervez and many others.
The speakers discussed the human rights violations being carried out in IIOJK particularly in the case of all the prisoners. These issues need to be raised and spoken about particularly at international forums since Indian state has always been trying to whitewash all its crimes.
The seminar ended with renewed aspirations for bringing the Kashmir cause to light and to keep working for it until a solution is acquired.
