Nazriya-e-Pakistan Youth Convention, organized by Lahore Youth Alliance was held on 27th of November, 2022 in Aiwan-e-Iqbal Complex, Lahore. Speakers from different walks of life were invited to the event notably including Vice President Youth Wing Pakistan Hafiz Ammar Hanif, President Lahore Youth Alliance Abdul Rehman Badar, Director Digital Institute of Pakistan Malik Waqas Saeed and others.
President Kashmir Youth Alliance Dr. Syed Mujahid Gilani and Secretary General Razi Tahir were also present at the convention. In his address to the vibrant audience, Dr. Mujahid Gilani said that the elders of today were the youth of yesterday. The young Syed Ali Geelani in his youth took upon him the manifesto of Hum Pakistani hain, Pakistan hamara hai, weathered the storms to live up to it all his life and engrave it in the hearts of the younger generation and this is the reason that we stand chanting this slogan today. Likewise, Asiya Andrabi was the brave young woman who instilled courage in the Kashmiri women to stand up against the Indian occupation. It was the then young Dr. Qasim Faktoo and the then young Masarat Alam Bhat who gave their time of youth for the cause, and today even while being behind bars, their disgust for slavery as an abnormal way of life is emulated by the rest of Kashmiri nation.
He also said that the youth of today now needs to look up to these elders and exemplify their lives for the generations to come. Resistance against occupation does not necessarily have to be by picking up arms. Just as the striking of an arrow is led up to the final hit by a chain of steps from the making of the arrow to the supplying of the arrow to the hands that shoot it and then the person who is martyred in the battle, everyone in the chain earns the reward for the struggle. Our young generation can play a part in whichever role they possibly can.
