On 19th Feb 2019; Kashmir Youth Alliance Organized Seminar titled “Iconic Prisoners of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir” at Ramada Hotel Islamabad.
Personalities such as Chief Justice Supreme Court of AJK Ch. Muhammad Ibrahim Zia, Ambassador Abdul Basit, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, Kashmir Activists Shaista Safi, President KYA Dr Syed Mujahid Gilani, Aasiya Andrabi’s Son Ahmed bin Qasim were guest speakers.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed Said that even the prisoners of war avail the facilities in accordance with the International law but the people of Kashmir who are under a siege by more than one million occupational forces of India are forced to live a life of hell, under the shadows of an undeclared war against them by New Delhi.
Ambassador Abdul Basit said Kashmiris are willing to give their life but will never compromise on the principal stand of right to self-determination.
Aasiya Andrabi’s son Ahmed bin Qasim said Dr QasimFaktoo, Aasiya Andrabi, Ashraf Khan Sehrai, Yasin Malick are icons of Kashmiri people’s heroic resistance to brutal Indian repression.
While addressing the seminar Shaista Safi shared her personal experiences of forced exile from her land and told the audience about the trials and tribulations faced by women and children of Indian-occupied Kashmir and what Kashmiris are going through after the recent floods, the worst in a century.
President Kashmir Youth Alliance Dr Syed Mujahid Gilani thanked the speakers and audience for attending the seminar. Shields were distributed among the speakers and Kashmir Activists.
