On 12th July 2017, Kashmir Youth Alliance in collaboration with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University organized Kashmir Walk titled “We all are Burhan” in remembrance of Freedom Fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani who was martyred on 8th July 2016.
Mushaal Malik, wife of the freedom fighter and Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Mohammad Yasin Malik attended the rally.
Mushaal Malik eulogized the sacrifices of Wani, who she said had become a symbol of freedom and courage for the Kashmiri people because he infused a new life in the struggle and people of Kashmir.
President KYA Dr Syed Mujahid Gilani paid a befitting tribute to Shaheed Burhan Wani saying, “Burhan: an icon of Kashmir freedom fight.”
He said that observance of his martyrdom anniversaryat such a large scale is a clear manifestation of people’s hatred against India and their commitment to the freedom cause.
